This has become a firm favorite Comedy Night from 'Outside the Box' at Garrick Theatre in Stockport where we hope you can join us, we had a great time last time.
Outside The Box Comedy Club started in Kingston in 2006, founder and comedian Maff Brown wanted to a create a comedy club that everybody wanted to go to and every comedian wanted to play. Showcasing the cream of the comedy circuit along with Big name acts trying out bits proved so successful six months after launch it won Chortle's Best Small Venue award. Recognized in the industry for its warm, friendly and fun vibe, star comedians began to use the club to try their material before bringing it out on tours and TV. Continuing in popularity today, Outside The Box has expanded to venues right across the UK including our very own Stockport!

Nina Gilligan exploded on to the comedy scene in 2011 2012 saw her as a finalist in Real radio XS Comedian of the year competition, judged by BBC Comedy North and Industry professionals at The Frog&Bucket Manchester. She also reached the semi finals of the largest uk New Act Competition: Laughing Horse. 2013 Has got off to a flying start aswell as regular professional compering for Buzz,Concept and Urban Comedy and a host of spots on professional bills she is has won both heats in The Hot Water Comedy Club New Act 2013 and Hilarity Bites New Act 2013 and will be appearing in the finals. Sometimes outrageous, always hilarious, observational and story telling comedy for all. A persona you will fall in love with.
Eric Rushton Bury born comedian. Ever since he was a little boy, Eric Rushton has dreamt of being a commercially-viable stand-up comedian. After winning the coveted Leicester Mercury Comedian of The Year Award, Eric has been living the dream.
A finalist in the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny? national comedy competition, Eric is now a regular performer at Britain’s biggest comedy clubs and festivals.
Tony Law
Since Mr Tony Law's breakthrough in 2011 – winning the Amused Moose Laughter Award with his Edinburgh Fringe sell-out show Go! Mr Tony! Go! – he has grown to become one of the most in-demand live acts in the UK.
His 2011 success culminated in winning the Chortle Best Breakthrough Act Award. He sharply bettered this in 2012 with Maximum Nonsense – which was nominated for the Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award, won the Chortle Best Live Show Award (and helped Tony scoop the Chortle Best Club Comic Award to boot) and in Spring 2013 toured to sell-out crowds across the UK (including 2600 people in London alone at Soho Theatre and the Udderbelly Festival).
Relentlessly creative, a third solo show in as many years – Nonsense Overdrive – premiered to another total sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2013.
Nonsense Overdrive enjoyed a sell-out 60-date UK tour, including a sold out five weeks at Soho Theatre in December 2013 (playing to almost 4000 Londoners). In April 2014, Nonsense Overdrive returns to the capital as the headline comedy show of the Udderbelly Festival at Southbank Centre, where its expected to play to another 2000 fans of Tony's unique comedy.
Throughout all of Tony's solo show success, he has continued to be one of most in-demand and much-loved club comics, headlining comedy clubs and festivals all across the world. His recent TV and Radio credits include: BBC1′s Have I Got News For You; BBC2′s Never Mind The Buzzcocks, The Culture Show, Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe, Heading Out, Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle; BBC3′s Russell Howard's Good News; Channel 4′s 8 Out Of 10 Cats; Comedy Central's Alternative Comedy Experience; Sky Art's Set List Show; Radio 4′s Tony Law's Surreal Guide to Surreal Comedy, Infinite Monkey Cage, Dilemma and many more.
Clayton Jones
Clayton Jones is a regular performer all over the UK. Observational comedy performances that have won him "LAST MINUTE COMEDY COMEDIAN OF THE YEAR 2017" and quotes such as "This dude has funny bones" Romesh Ranganathan
Performed his solo show at Edinburgh fringe 2015 and Leicester Comedy Festival 2017.

Location & Itinerary
- Please meet your host in the Garrick Theatre downstairs/basement bar between 7pm and 7.15pm. The venue only opens at 7pm so if you are earlier pop in to The Spinning Top and see if anyone else has arrived early as well.
- The entrance to the basement is not via the main theatre entrance. It is via a door to the right of the Spinning Top on the main A6 and is down several flights of steep stairs.
- Your name will be passed to the venue to enable you to gain entry
The Stockport Garrick Theatre is situated in the heart of Stockport Town Centre on the corner of Wellington Road South (A6) and Exchange Street oppostie the Post Office Sorting Office. The theatre is within a few minutes walk of Stockport Interchange, with many regular Rail & Bus services to and from Manchester city centre, around Stockport and beyond.
For those of you have have been to the Garrick with us for one of their own productions you will know that they have use of a car park for those - please note that this DOES NOT apply to external productions which includes tonight's comedy night.
