Overview
We return to Sherwood Forest Center Parcs for an activity and chill out mid-week break – the choice is yours.
Autumn is a superb time to visit because, as the name suggests, it’s in woodland, so, as the forest prepares for the winter, we will see a brilliant display of colours from the variety of trees.
About Sherwood Forest Center Parcs: A legendary forest setting in Robin Hood's county. Deep in the historic Nottinghamshire forest once home to legendary outlaw Robin Hood. There are a range of activities, restaurants, their award-winning Aqua Sana Forest Spa and over 400 acres of forest to explore. It’s in a central location, making it accessible from across the country. They now even have the Dozing Duck, their delicious Gastropub unique to Sherwood Forest.
Activities: we will canvass opinion before we go but activities include Adventure Golf, Aerial Adventure, Indoor Climbing Walls, Badminton, Crazy Pool, Padel Tennis, Cycle hire, Table Tennis, Ten Pin Bowling, Segway, to name a few. The sub-tropical paradise is the centre of attraction with giant waves, water chutes, Jacuzzi’s, flumes, a thrilling wild water rapids ride, and much more. You can spend all day in the tropically heated 'dome' and this is included in the price.
Aqua Sana Forest Spa: A tree-lined driveway takes you deep into the Nottinghamshire countryside where you’ll find Aqua Sana Forest Spa. Provisional ideas for the week
Monday: You can arrive from 10am to use the facilities onsite. Lodges will be available from 4pm when and find your lodge, meet your fellow lodge mates (and wonder around the spice lodges to see who is about). There will be welcome drinks in your coordinator’s lodge.
Tuesday to Thursday: Our full days; we will canvas opinion as to what those booked want to do; be it chilling, group sessions in the sub-tropical paradise, activities on site, going for a walk or bike ride.
Friday: time to leave. Checkout is by 10am. You can stay onsite to enjoy the facilities, or we will look at a nearby attraction to go to before we go home.
So, this could be a relaxed, laid back break, or an energetic dash from one activity to another - you choose!
Balance: this will be due 10 weeks (rather than the usual 28 days) before the break as these are the terms of Center Parcs.
Includes
Accommodation in either a standard Woodland Lodge or a Forest Lodge (all ensuite bathrooms) and coordinators throughout the week.
A welcome drink on the Monday evening.
Access to the whole parc including the sub-tropical paradise
Extras
Meals, either in your lodge or one of their on-site restaurants, drinks and any activities booked.
Guests & Non-Members who are new to Spice are welcome to book at a £36 supplement though they may prefer to join to register to book at the member rate. Please contact your local office if you’d like to book a guest place.
Location & Itinerary
Food isn’t included, so you have the choice of catering within your lodges or using the onsite restaurants and café’s, or as is more likely, a mixture of both. You can make contact with your lodge shares in advance to arrange what to bring.

After canvassing opinion, we have identified the most popular restaurants, and we have added these to the Spice website.
How it works: Book on the Spice website (links below) to pay a £5 deposit. Order your food on the night and pay individually after the meal (with the £5 deducted). There aren’t any prices on the menus as they differ by site.
You can of course eat independently at any of their restaurants and are advised to book in advance. Please don’t book directly if you want to eat with Spice on the evening that Spice are eating at that restaurant as you are unlikely to be sat with the group. We also know that some will want to eat in their lodges for some or all of the evenings.
Monday - Cafe Rouge: Bringing a touch of French elegance to the heart of the village, Café Rouge is a relaxed and stylish restaurant perfect for families looking to unwind. Tuesday - Las Iguanas: Bringing vibrant Latin American flavours to the heart of the village, Las Iguanas is full of flavour-packed dishes for the whole family to enjoy. Lunch plans are sorted with a main and a drink for just deal, available Monday to Friday until 4pm. Prefer to spice up your evening? Wednesday - Rajinda Pradesh Indian restaurant: A vibrant, flavour-packed Indian restaurant, from aromatic curries and freshly baked naan to classic tandoori dishes, it’s a firm favourite with guests looking for something a little different during their stay. Thursday - The Dozing Duck: Tucked among the trees of Sherwood Forest, The Dozing Duck is a charming, laid-back retreat. Fuel up with a hearty breakfast, settle in for lunch or wind down with a relaxed evening meal. Spacious outdoor seating makes it easy to dine al fresco and enjoy the woodland surroundings. If you wanted to join the group at any of these meals, please book by Monday 5th October as we will need to book the meals with the various restaurants.
Travel & Stay
Our accommodation is in beautifully located lodges surrounded by woodland, alive with cheeky not so 'wild’ life. Fully fitted bathroom, fully equipped kitchens, lounge, TV (with video channels), central heating and even an open log fire. The lodges are 3 bedroomed with a mixture of twin and double rooms. Doubles can be for couples or sole occupancy. You have a choice of lodges; a standard Woodland Lodge or a Forest Lodge (all ensuite bathrooms), so just book the option you prefer.
We will arrange members into lodges so don't worry if you're on your own, some of the others booking will be too, and with Spice you won't be on your own for long, as soon as you meet your lodge mates! Please advise at the time of booking if you have rooming requests, we will do our best to accommodate these.
All bedding is provided, as is household equipment. Towels to be provided for everyone in the lodges but you will need to bring one if you go for a swim, etc (unless you want to hire).
