Overview
What a great theme for a visit to the seaside! Agatha lived in nearby Torquay and famously based 3 of her books in Devon (Evil Under the Sun; The Sittaford Mystery; Dead Mans Folly.) This long weekend will include a Themed dinner, a quiz and a talk about the great lady herself, all in the delightful Esplanade Hotel, in a prime spot overlooking the sea.
We will also plan to explore some places close to her heart such as her former home (Greenway) and we could take a train ride to Dartmouth, passing many places of interest, and maybe a cruise along the river dart. We can also get the train to Teignmouth or walk parts of the coastal path. All of those options will be added nearer the time.
Jackie is a huge Agatha Christie fan and is looking forward to hosting the trip, which has an early booking discount until 31st December when prices increase by £20.
Guests/ Non Members who are new to Spice are welcome to book at a £36 supplement though they may prefer to join to register to book at the member rate. Guests/ Non members may attend up to 3 events before being asked to join. To book a guest place, call the local co-ordinator or book via a member.
