A Day on The Canal - Kings Orchard - Lichfield
Overview
Come with us for a relaxing and fun day on the Canal with a picnic and pub stop.
We have hired the boat exclusively for most of the day and will travel along the canal.
Fradley Junction and return is a 3 hour route with no locks and one swing bridge.
Travelling north, cruise past Streethay Wharf and through the countryside to Fradley Junction where you’ll pass through a swing bridge before reaching the junction itself. You can stop at the Swan public house which is canal side at the junction before turning to make your way back. Tunnel.
The ‘Day Tripper' canal boat is 45ft and has a fridge, 2 burner hob / grill, sink, bathroom, cutlery & crockery indoor/outdoor seating door seating.
Please note that we have to decide viability by Weds 24th June 2026
Includes
- Hire of a 45ft canal boat for up to 10 people.
- Self drive tuition if you want a go at steering the boat.

Please bring a picnic and drinks. We will be out on the canal boat for about 4 hours with a short stop at The Swan at Fradley..
Location & Itinerary
The Picnic: You can either bring your own picnic or something to add to a Spice shared picnic, making it a very social day.
The canal boat has a fridge, a two burner hob and grill (should you feel the need to cook hot food!), cutlery and crockery so feel free to bring whatever you want. We will have a short stop at the The Swan pub at Fradley Junction.
